Event Lighting can definitely set the atmosphere for any party. Lights add that WOW factor. Here are a few things to consider before determining the type of lighting you'll need. Answers to questions like; will your event be inside or outside, what is the size of the party space, how many guests will be attending the event and what kind of atmosphere would you like to create, will go a long way in determining the kind of event lighting that will work the best.
Ambient Up Lighting
Ambient up lighting is great for any event. It's a very affordable way to create the right background and atmosphere. QMEP DJs use par can lights with color gels that will match your color theme. Using our experience, we strategically place lights along walls, in corners or against pillars to highlight and illuminate specific areas, giving your event the best overall look and feel possible.
String lights or market lights as we call them in the industry (pictured right) are a great way to add a special elegant touch to any event. Our base price for these lights are $3 per foot plus $150 for delivery and set up. So, it just depends on how much coverage you need. Many times we use the existing structures to hang these lights, however we also use pipe and base to hang these beautiful bulbs creating a great look from scratch. Lights are clear, satin or multi-colored.
Paper lanterns are a fun way to add some color or elegant decor to your event. They can be attached to market lights, trees or strategically placed to dress up any facility. They come in assorted sizes, shapes and colors!
Color Wash Lighting
A color wash or soft spot light. QMEP uses color wash lighting to accent specific areas of an event like a bride and groom's sweetheart table, wedding cake, a performance by a singer or on the dance floor. We do recommend at least two color wash lights for dance floors. We can match any color theme with these lights and they come equiped with a dimmer switch allowing us to choose the perfect setting.
Customized Monogram Gobo Lighting
Display your initials, name, wedding date or even a company logo with lights. We can design just about anything you can imagine including the monogram on your invitations. Gobos can be used on a wall, dance floor or ceiling!
Small Lighting Package
Two Intelligent Rotating Lights gives most dance floors full coverage. These lights have three settings. We can have them rotate constantly, randomly or with the beat of the music that is playing.
Stock Gobo Lighting
Same as a Monogram Gobo. We have hundreds of stock gobos with traditional phrases like "Happy Birthday", "Congratulations" or "Merry Christmas". You can also choose a simple shape or design to highlight a wall or the dance floor.
Deluxe Lighting Package
Includes two intelligent dance floor lights for the dance floor and four par can lights to accent specific areas giving your event full coverage. This package is perfect for a small to medium size party giving you the best of both worlds.
Stage Lighting Package
This lighting package is for medium to large size rooms and includes three intelligent rotating lights on a 10'x10' adjustable staging truss, two par can lights to spotlight the dance floor along with a strobe light. Package includes " TRI LED Aggressor and TRI LED Vertigo Lights" (pictured on the left). *Fog Machine is included upon requests. Our "Intimidator", "Moonflower" and "Laser Beam" lights are also available for this package.

There are no delivery or setup fees for ambient up lighting packages that are included with QMEP Dj services as an upgrade. However, if you're interested in lighting services only or extensive lighting packages there is a delivery/setup fee of $150 included within the Bay Area and Napa Valley. The deliver/setup fee for lighting services outside the Bay Area and Napa Valley is $200.
